Emma Tanner
I am a journalist based in Corinth, Miss. I’m a graduate of the University of North Alabama, originally from Killen, Ala. I have a bachelor's degree in mass communications with a concentration in journalism and digital media. I worked as editor-in-chief at The Flor-Ala from May 2023 to May 2024. I served as managing editor at The Flor-Ala from Dec. 2022 to May 2023, and as News Editor from Jan. 2022 to Dec. 2022. I also began volunteer writing and graphic designing for the newspaper in Sep. 2021. I interned at The TimesDaily from May to July 2023.
I was an ambassador for UNA's College of Arts, Sciences, and Engineering beginning in Sept. 2021 and was elected Ambassador Program President in Sept. 2022. I was a part of a Psychology of Religion research team at my university utilizing the Flicker test, which was presented at the Rocky Mountain Psychological Association conference in Albuquerque, N.M. I previously served as a research assistant on another Psychology of Religion research team on prayer behavior, which was presented at the RMPA conference in Salt Lake City, Utah.
